How do I contact you about an event I want you to be a part of?
You can use this form or find me on Instagram or Facebook.
Where are you based out of?
Columbus, Ohio. I’ve done chalk art all over Ohio, as well as in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Doesn’t it bother you that your art will get washed away?
You get used to it. As long as the rain waits until I’m done.
What kind of chalk do you use?
I primarily use hand-made soft pastels from EternityArts.com along with soft pastels from Dick Blick. I occasionally try other pastels, such as Street Stix and Mount Vision, but I find that I’m not getting the mileage out of those for what they cost.
How long does it take to complete a piece?
Depends on the size, but I tend to spend about 3 to 4 hours to a complete a 12′ x 12′ piece.
Do you work off a photo or transfer a sketch first?
Nope, for the most part I work freehand off the picture in my head. No gridding, no templates, no tracing. I find it’s more fun that way.
Have you ever done those big 3D chalk drawings where it looks like a hole?
No.
Have you seen them? They’re really cool! It looks like you’re going to fall into them…
Yeah, I’ve seen them. Just not my thing.
Wait…Shouldn’t this page be called “FAQs”?
The plural is already part of the acronym.
