“Robot vs. Martian” for Chalkfest in Springfield, Ohio. The theme was “Future Focused”, and invited us all to do our imaginative take on classic sci-fi. So yeah… a real stretch for me. 😛

This was my homage to the retro -futurism of movies like “Forbidden Planet”, “This Island Earth”, “Invasion of the Saucer Men”, etc. Throw in some Flash Gordon and a little Lovecraft, and you can see where I was going.

I was so excited to be back at this fantastic event, on such a lovely day, amongst these talented chalkers and appreciative community. Hope to see you again next year!
