Honored and excited to be back at Chalkworks at COSI’s Big Science Celebration! Extra excited with this year’s “Cryptids of the Heartlands” theme (to coincide with the new Mythical Creatures exhibit). It gave me the chance to combine my love of drawing monsters and drawing bugs (not that I need an excuse…) into my interpretation of Mothman, the mysterious herald of doom who happens to have his own movie, museum, and annual festival. I love chalking at this event, interacting with the families who come out, and watching the talents of the other chalk artists as they bring their mysterious subjects to life.
