Short North Gallery Hop, November 2022, Columbus, Ohio

The image for this piece has been baking in my head for many, many years. I’ve tried to bring it out several times, most infamously as a carved wooden sculpture in college (note: not a sculptor), but this time it emerged kinda on its own and brought me along for the ride. Definitely inspired by the season and the blustery weather, I opted to not fight the blowing leaves and just incorporate them into the composition (and, apparently, my hair…).

Thanks, once again, to the wonderful @shortnorthartsdistrict for inviting me out to the gallery hop in a month that rarely sees outdoor chalk art. Special thanks to @celestecreateddiamonds for allowing me to chalksling in front of their store. And thanks to everyone who stopped to chat and pass along their feedback.

My first collaboration with Nature
